Domestic Violence laws finally passed after years of outcry from battered women who endured physical, mental, and financial abuse, yet their pleas were not heard. The laws that were enacted are now only serving to further the abuse they were intended to protect the women from. The same laws designed to protect females are now used as a sword to add legal abuse to the equation. Today, thanks to no gender distinction the male abusers, knowledgeable of loopholes advised by legal experts, help create a game plan that the abuser will use to turn it against the women. These loopholes allow males and their attorneys to make them look like they are the victim, so they can obtain a restraining order, ask for full custody of the children and the family home.

Woman against Domestic Violence’s main objective is to provide awareness and assistance to victims enduring physical, verbal, or financial abuse. This non-profit organization will focus on education in its first phase and make every effort to change legislation, and also help with legal assistance for all women in need. WADVI will partner with other organizations to help with relocating victims and children to a safe house.
